There is no experience on Earth like sitting in your kitchen with a mug of tea, watching your baby chicks help each other out of their shells. At Dracarys Dragons, we love sharing this experience with families and classrooms all over the state of California! Unfortunately, we are not NPIP certified yet, so we cannot legally ship eggs out of state.

Our four purebred Ayam Cemani hens and one rooster were selected from an initial group of 20 birds from two of the very best AC suppliers in the USA, and these five birds are just stunning to behold. The parents have all-black mouths, tongues, beaks, feathers, and toenails, with snuggly, sweet personalities to boot!

Ayam Cemani Hatching Eggs: $5/ea $50/dozen + S&H

Our laying hens are a lovely mix of beauty, snuggliness, and egg-laying aptitude. The crosses with our Ayam Cemani rooster have yielded some of the most stunning chickens! We offer Fibro-Mix eggs in a 12-egg assortment, or in single-breed groups. Available breeds include: AX x silver-laced Polish, AC x lavender Orpington, AC x lavender French Marans, AC x black Ameraucana, and AC x splash Ameraucana (White Walkers, as we like to call them!)

Fibro (AC) MIX Hatching Eggs: $3/ea $30/dozen

Policies and Guarantees:

As with all other hatching egg sellers, we cannot guarantee hatch rates. Once eggs leave our farm, we cannot be responsible for how they are treated by mail carriers. Please purchase insurance for your shipment so the USPS will refund you if they break your eggs, or lose them in the mail!

We DO guarantee 80% fertility IF you candle each egg no more than 10 days after the ship date and photograph each egg as it is candled. If more than 20% of the eggs are clearly not developing (just empty with a yolk), let us know so we can make it right!

Hatching tips:

Set your incubator at 99.5 F one or two days before you receive your eggs. The MatticoopX incubators have been the most successful at hatching shipped eggs for us.

Once you receive your eggs, immediately place them pointy side down in the incubator with the turner unplugged/OFF.

Let them incubate at 99.5 F without turning for 3-5 days. On day 5 of incubation, plug in the turner and set it to 60-minute intervals.

Check your incubator daily to ensure the temperature and humidity remain stable.

On day 17, remove the eggs from their trays and gently place them on the bottom of the incubator (I like to set them on a paper towel).

Increase the humidity in the incubator to 70-80% and open the air vents.

DO NOT OPEN THE INCUBATOR AGAIN until all chicks are warm and fluffy.

Sometimes shipped eggs can hatch as early as day 19, or as late as day 27! Leave unhatched eggs in the incubator just in case!
